Executive Committee
Mission: “Fostering Connections, Bridging Cultures: Enriching SWFL Through Indian Heritage”
The Goals for the 2025-2026 Executive Committee are:
- Grow the Association through unforgettable cultural experiences by creating memorable, high-quality events and shows that bring the community together.
- Engage the Youth and Families by launching targeted youth programs such as leadership workshops, and volunteer opportunities. Introduce cultural storytelling sessions, holiday-themed school kits (e.g., Diwali, Holi), and classroom activities that parents can present in local schools.
- Enhance Active Involvement for Elders. Provide meaningful and regular activities tailored to senior members—such as yoga sessions, community lunches, discussion circle. Involve the elders as cultural ambassadors and leaders , sharing their experiences and wisdom in youth programs and public events.
- Strengthen Partnerships Across SWFL with other Indian organizations. Build coalitions for larger events, enhancing reach, shared resources, and community impact.
- Develop programs that are inclusive of non-Indian participants, building bridges with the broader Southwest Florida (SWFL) community. Partner with local businesses for giveaways and sponsorships, creating mutual visibility and quality engagement.
- Expand Geographic and Digital Reach: Increase IAFM's visibility beyond Lee and Collier counties targeting regions from Port Charlotte to Miami area. Leverage social media, newsletters, and digital platforms to consistently engage members and attract new ones across Southwest Florida and hence drive growth and membership.
