Independence Day Celebration - August 17, 2024

We celebrated the 78th India Independence Day, here in Fort Myers! It was wonderful to see everyone come together to celebrate our shared heritage and enjoy the day with family and friends. We had a great time with the fun activities we had planned- from answering trivia questions about India and open mic sessions for songs to the creative cookie decorating by kids.

Mother's Day Picnic - May 12, 2024

Our 2nd annual Mother's Day picnic was a blast. There was so much to enjoy for everyone - gorgeous MOM photo sign booth, grand spread of food items, beautiful jewelry case gifted to each mom, Tambola and raffle prizes. Tambola and raffle prize winners took home some amazing gifts such as gift cards for facials, massage and beautiful jewelry pieces.

India Fest - April 6, 2024

We re-ignited India Fest after a 5 year hiatus due to Covid & Hurricane Ian. It was wonderful to be back with a new waterfront location at Caloosa Sound Amphitheatre in downtown Fort Myers. It was a picture perfect Florida day with blue skies and sunshine. We had over 3500 attendees, 100 sponsors and 30 vendors. Mauj Masti Night - March 2024

Mauj Masti Bollywood Night was a great success enjoyed by all in a beautiful venue “ Be my Guest "party room. There were lots of melodious karaoke singers, comedy, shayari which created an entertaining evening for all. Aroma Restaurant provided a delicious food dinner. The 360 Photo Booth added to the fun and made it easy to create memories.

Senior Meet & Mingle - January 2024

Our Senior Meet & Mingle was sold out in record time. Seniors enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Luminary Hotel. The evening included games, socializing and a beautiful view.

Holidays Without Hunger - December 2023

Our Youth Wing Event was a great success with over 40 IAFM members participating.


Members of all ages joined together at the Lee Civic Center for a few hours of meal packing for Meals of Hope. 


It was a fun feel-good service event.

Diwali - November 2023

Thank you so much for being part of our 2023 Diwali Celebration. It was a wonderful night - honoring the past and embracing the future. Senior Social - October 2023

Our first Senior Social was held in Estero, Florida and we had about 70 participants.


Our seniors dined, socialized and discussed plans for upcoming events for the Senior wing.

Youth Wing - August 2023

Our Youth Wing Strikes Back event was held at Headpinz and we had almost 20 teens from ages 13-18 join to kick things off.


The kids bowled, dined, socialized and started planning the year ahead with a great lineup of Youth Wing Activities to come.


In addition, a few of our Youth Wing members volunteered at Raaga in September and enjoyed the first of many volunteer opportunities available to our teens.

Mothers Day - May 2023

Our inaugural event was a huge success with an amazing turnout of 250 folks! There was lots of excitement about IAFM being back. Everyone enjoyed catching up and spending time together. The Live Dosa Station, Tambola and Mother's Day festivities made the event extra special.
